WE FUCK SHIT UP

Was contacted by a local photographer James Dean to see if was interested in getting a shoot done on the HAWK... already knowing his work I jumped at the chance!

It was a crappy gold coast day but luckily the sun stayed out for a couple shots... but on the other hand rolling photos in the rain turned out mega awesome!

More photo's and full write up by James can be found here at WFSU.net

Cant thank James enough for the feature! If your thinking of getting a photo shoot done I highly recommend getting onto James as you can see he does awesome work.

Thanks, Streetkarnage.

BUILD THREAD

I thought I would post up the stages of my new 240

I started building this due having so many left over parts and also I got stuck with the wagon so I had some spare time on my hands haha

I made a small build thread on TB.com so some people got to see some updates but overall I didn't really post it up on many sites... not even this one!

So here are the stages of the car...

The day I picked it up.

Wheels fitted.

Painted and front end fitted

Finished.. well not completely finished I still have a few little things to do on it.

Ill post up more finished photos later today!

THE HAWK

as you may have seen or read... I Built a new Volvo 240!

Byron Hayes will hopefully doing a shoot on it next weekend but for now, here is a photo by myself from the weekend!

Using a heap of left over parts from all my old Volvo's this one is a bit of a mixer and if you don't know your Volvo's you may not notice..

1986 Bumpers and Body

1980 Guards and Bonnet

1970 Grill, Lights and Surrounds

1984 Boot Lid

Making this my favourite body shape for a Volvo 240.

Would love some feedback on it!

Thanks,

EUROMEET 4

Last Friday night was the 4th Euro meet held in Brisbane, I attended in the newly completed 240 that I have been building over the last month!

Friday was a very busy day for myself... most the day was spent trying to finish the car off before the 5 o'clock deadline I had to meet the pre-meet at Coomera service center!

Pleasantly to my surprise I got it all finished (I really thought I wouldn't) haha

Here are Josh's 240 and my new daily, parked up at the meet.

It was a great meet, bringing a good variety of cars.

Unfortunately I didn't get as many photos as I hoped.. mainly cause I was walking around looking and talking haha so that's my bad!

By far my favourite car off the night!! I have seen so many images of the amazingly clean HAHAA Golf... but for me this was the first time to see it, I was told by a few people that it doesn't get out to much!

Also finding out the very sad and amazing story behind the car!

So overall the meet was incredible, not as big as some I have been too.. but defiantly a great vibe all round on the night!

Looking forward to the next one.

THE PRICE WE PAY

I have been talking to Nick for the last week discussing everything suspension for 240s, we have gone through aftermarket coilovers to comparing our current set ups...

Then yesterday I got a PM from him saying his car is fucking low enough and that he just raped his Subframe on a damn drain....

Luckily his dads friend is a Volvo mechanic and will be fixing it up from him, but with his E30 not on the road yet means he will be with out a car for a couple of weeks... this is the price we defiantly pay, when we daily our cars at crazy low heights!

it may be stupid, it may be gangsta, it may look rad, it may pull bitches, and it may get cop attention... haha but its defiantly not for the faint hearted!!!

Hope its all fixed soon mate!

Cheers

JUNGLEDORIFUTO

I have been a member on Turbobricks for nearly 3 years now, and this build is one of those ones that i have been watching from the start.

The 244 has been in this family since new, giving to him from his grandfather.

It has changing in so many ways over the year, and you would not believe the amount of wheels he has had on it..!!

Got snow?

Now fitted up with 16x9.5 -23 on the front and 16x9.5 -40 on the rear.

I love the roughness of this car, its just nasty... in a good way :)

Another good point of this car, is that he slides it.. we really need to see more volvos out on track!!

take note of the Streetkarnage stencil on his front lip! HELL YEAH!

Thanks

SCENERY

Here are some more photos of Nick's 240 Sedan, I'm completely in love with these photos and his car!

Nick has recently put the car up for sale, to get into the seat of a BMW E30. :(

Now sporting a Streetkarnage decal on the windscreen.
and again massive props on this man.. also I now want fog lights (haha)
Looking forward to what you build next.

Thanks

BEIGE STEEL

Coming out of New Jersey is Nick's 88 240 Sedan, that I have been thread watching for some time on Turbobricks.

Fitted up recently are his Volvo 850 Widened steelies, running 8.5" up front and 10" on the rear.
Nick has been playing with the height and and the rear offset with some spacers, for me its looking spot on!!

It is really hard to get a 240 sitting right. The rear guards are actually lower then the fronts. This makes it great for tucking wheels, but when your trying to achieve more of a stanced look it brings on some problems and the end result is you will need to run quite a lot of rake!

Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do..!!
Thanks

STREETKARNAGE GARAGE

I Spent most of Friday night clearing out the garage at our new place, so i could get at lease one of the cars in there (haha)

A few drinks later it was 1 in the morning and garage was clean!!

The next morning I had the fun job of playing tetris with 4 cars. (haha) Ended up working out great, freeing up so much room around our house.

It ended up with The Wagon out the back, The sr20 Sedan in the garage and then Josh's Sedan in the drive way.. also with my 2 Corolla Ke70's in the back yard (haha)

Started striping all the goods out of the sedan.. In 2 Hours its ready for the motor and box to come out apart from mounts!
Thanks
