Had a look through some old photos and I come across the last photos I snapped of the hawk before it went to its new owner... looking at these photos really makes me miss it, a lot!!
I hope the new owner is enjoying it, as much as I did!!!
I was going through some of the photos from our Sydney trip last month.. and realised how many I still have to post.. these shots from the Sunday, when we went down to Bondi to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.. before the long drive home!
We some how managed to snap up some killer parks on campbell parade, directly across from Bondi beach... the amount of looks we got parked here was incredible!
This was defiantly one of the biggest highlights from the trip, for me.
After we parked up and paid the stupid parking prices.. we set off to grab something for breakfast, we walked towards the famous Bondi beach and ended up at a little cafe looking over the sea..
Great company, good food and coffee, plus blue sky with the sun shining... life was good!!
Nick most likely trying to get sneaky shots of some girls walking past!! haha
I couldn't resist grabbing a couple more shots of the cars, before we set off home!
The Hawk at the show n shine, I wasn't to sure how the Sydney peeps would react to it, I was very surprised to see how many people took photos of it... oh, oh, oh, and it even got a shout out by the commentators!! (haha)
Very clean Kouki s14, really digg the mismatch wheels in the same bronze.
We missed the drifts on Friday night, but we heard from everybody we knew there about this crash.. I was pumped to see Cole Armstrong on sat night and was hoping his car was, urgh fixable.. but seeing this, I knew I wasn't going to see it driving!
Here is the video of what happened, if you hadn't seen it yet... I think it can be blamed a lot on the track not being lit up enough! Fink was telling me on Saturday that was his friends S13 and had built it over 2 years and this was only its 2nd or 3rd outing!
Another two familia faces.. First Braydon is the owner of that killer purple engine bayed civic called Haterz and then Stephen owner of the boosty WRX that has been off the road for to damn long! (haha)
The evo's come out in force for the the shown n shine... There was some prime examples in the mix and running every wheel you could think of.
It was a hectic long day standing for nearly all of it.. finding a seat to chill for a bit was very important.. Jack's Stagea and Alex's boots got used a bit!
Alex tried driving the golf completely laid out.. IT WORKED!
Alex and Scott in deep conversation about something.. prob how hectic that interior in the Ferrari was ULEH!
Being the first MK5 Golf bagged in Australia.. it had a consistent crowed around the car pretty much all day... Alex taking out the Future Star award on the day!
I put together a short movie giving you guys a look inside
of our trip to WTAC in Sydney, Australia.
Sorry, I didn't film much of the Tectaloy Drift Challenge, as
temps were dropping well and truly to the brink of freezing.
Been so distracted behind the scenes with Pits, Promo tents and
the Show and Shine, I didn't catch much of the Time Attack it self on film.
But here's what I got, hope you enjoy! :)
Very happy to be apart of the Team, cant wait for
future events and meets!
A few months back we decided to lock in a road trip down to WTAC, this pretty much gave me a deadline for the wagon to be finished (haha) The guys at ON-ROAD tried their hardest to get it finished with myself going down to lend a hand during the evenings after work.. but with some problems with starting and just simply running out of time on it, we come to terms with the wagon not being finished for the trip so we pulled the plug and stopped work on it at about 7pm.. with a last minute discussion to take the Hawk on the trip!
not completely understanding how insanely busy we were going to be over the weekend we headed back to mine.. stopping to grab a feed on the way home made it nearly 10 before we hit the pillow for some Z's!!
Felt like only a minute and I was awake and getting ready to leave haha
We set of at 3am on Friday and arrived in sydney at about 2pm.. but we got mega lost in city, so probably would have got there about 1ish :P
The trip down was great.. had no car related problems and also no trouble from the police.. but we didn't end up making it out to track on Friday night for the drifts... so instead we headed for a walk down George street to grab something to eat and have a few drinks!
We got up at 6am to get head out to meet our friends from the GC that had driven down on Thursday.. so we had plenty of time to clean the cars and get to the track... plus it was mega cool rolling through the city and highways so early!!
This was our little crew for the day.. Alex's Golf, The Hawk, Aerron's R34 4 Door, and Jack's Stagea!
Jack and Aerron's cars looked great.. both freshly polished and looking schmick
Well that's it for Part one.. WTAC coverage will be up tomorrow :)
A few weeks ago Byron sent me a text on a sunday arvo, asking if I was keen to get some flicks done on the hawk.. I couldnt say no.. so he headed down my way and went for a little drive to find a nice spot to get some... This is what he come up with!
Was contacted by a local photographer James Dean to see if was interested in getting a shoot done on the HAWK... already knowing his work I jumped at the chance!
It was a crappy gold coast day but luckily the sun stayed out for a couple shots... but on the other hand rolling photos in the rain turned out mega awesome!
More photo's and full write up by James can be found here at WFSU.net
Cant thank James enough for the feature! If your thinking of getting a photo shoot done I highly recommend getting onto James as you can see he does awesome work.
I thought I would post up the stages of my new 240
I started building this due having so many left over parts and also I got stuck with the wagon so I had some spare time on my hands haha
I made a small build thread on TB.com so some people got to see some updates but overall I didn't really post it up on many sites... not even this one!
So here are the stages of the car...
The day I picked it up.
Wheels fitted.
Painted and front end fitted
Finished.. well not completely finished I still have a few little things to do on it.
