AUSTRALIA'S FIRST BAGGED MK5 GOLF!!

I really cant believe I had yet too post these photos up.. when we where on our trip down to the cold SYD.. soon as the sun had starting coming up and the fog started covering the roads and damp paddocks... once the sun was completely up I put in the call to Alex, that was leading at the time and told him to pull down the next street!

Luckily for us, we didn't have to drive far off course to find a spot that had a good amount of fog and was suitable to get some killer shots of Alex's golf!

We all parked up and directed Alex as he reversed down a random driveway at about 7am Friday morning, once we got in a good position.. Alex laid the car out and tucked those BBS RS' up in the guards.

Shooting a car with fog in the distance has been something I have wanted too do, since well, umm, pretty much since I have been taking photos really.. I would have been happy to shoot any car in a location like this.. but to have the first bagged Mk5 Golf in Australia handy, just made it 1000x better!!!! (haha) If I get too shoot a car in the snow one day, my 2 goals as photographer will complete!

We did promise a full feature on this and we will make sure we still deliver.. but with our man Byza getting hitched soon his spare time has been spent on organising / planing his big day.. so hopefully we can smash a few shoots out one weekend soon!

Thanks, Streetkarnage.

 Tom and his Yoshi S13

last but not least.. Rob's new white R33 4 Door on white XT7s ... I think this one is his 4th car this year (haha) I'm not complaining, all of them have been rad... I just wish he owned them long enough so we got the chance to shoot them all (hahaha)  Hopefully a full shoot coming soon on this one!!

PRE HARDTUNED MEET

Over the Easter break we headed up to the hardtuned meet in Brisbane, it was actually held in the same place as one of the previous JDMST meets.

Alex drove us up in his XR6... that he chucked his BBS RS on for some lol's
This old merc was at the bowser next to us at the pre meet.. layed out on polished original Benz hubcaps, pretty damn gangster is you ask me!
wicked P plater AE86, its always good to see this out... its nearly at every meet lately.
I love this 80.. stock aero plus a front lip and slammed on CST Hype Zero's (My favorite wheel)
S14 rolling through the Clem!!

That is for now, as you can see this was before we had even got to the meet haha

Thanks, Streetkarnage.

BIGGEST MEET YET!!

Ill keep it short as the pictures tell the story…! Last night was the monthly JDMST March meet for Queensland. This meet has steadily grown particularly over the last six months and this month delivered with over 300 cars parked consistently throughout the night. This event draws cars from both the North and South of the capital Brisbane and people such as myself traveled anywhere up to 2 hours to attend the meet.

The diversity of cars ranged from stanced Mircas, Daily driven drift cars, exotics, scattered euros and BIG horsepower Skylines, RX7’s and Evos. Probably the most refreshing thing about the meet was the people! The environment was so relaxed, everyone was approachable to talk about there passions and were basically zero issues with the law.

The culture within the Southeast of Queensland (Australia) is certainly growing very quickly and is delivering world quality cars to monthly meets. The only issue now for next month will be, the location now needs to be bigger!!

Thanks, Byza.

MARCH JDMST MEET

Last night was the march JDMST meet held at Carseldine in Brisbane.. and holy shit it was huge.. would have been at least 300 cars there, filling 2 story carpark and down the street!

it was an awesome night with mad chills and wicked rides, also got to catch up with some peeps I haven't seen for a while!

The night ended in a pretty crap way unfortunately... We had cops follow us in Alex RX for about 10 minutes when we left the carpark, it was all fine till we come up to some road works and the car sprayed out a heap of sparks. (awesome haha) then shortly after we stopped at some lights and the police rolled up beside us and say "A bit low there aren't you" Alex reply with "Yeahhh I think so" haha

Alex copped defects for too low, Wheels protruding from guards, and window tints.. the police where nice and only gave a $100 fine and no points... But the car will have to go through the pits.

So last night was officially the last time the Subaru will be out :(

This photo was taken while the police where parked up behind it writing out the tickets!

I have heaps more photos, so make sure to come back to check them out!

Thanks,

Streetkarnage.

LOWLY GENTS

I got word that the Lowly Gentlemen where in town by Alex, that had meet them at the end of the month JDMST meet on monday night. He informed me that they want to do a shoot on his RX before they took off back home!

I got a text later that same day from Alex saying... that they wanted to do it today and for him to select a good beach location!

He chose to do it at the Currumbin Alley and this being only around the corner from my house he asked if I wanted to come.. This was a no brainer for me with Alex copping an Instant Reply of "HELLZ YEAH!!!" I was stoked at the Idea to meet the boys from SW and its always good to have a rad chill session at a shoot and talk crap about the things we love, CARS! (haha)

I ended up getting the camera out and got a couple of shots.... but make sure to check out the The Lowly Gentlemen on StanceWorks for the full shoot.... trust me this is only a sneak peak, I cant wait to see the full shoot by Dom and Oxer!

anyways enough bloody words... here are some pics....

The man himself, Oxer working his skills on the RX.... It was a bit frantic at first as the sun was about to go behind some clouds, so both Oxer and Dom were shooting at it in ever angle possible.

the new Black roof is so very AWESOME!

This photo sums up the arvo for me... Being the fricken unpredictable Gold Coast weather we have here.. the sun was setting and the storm was rolling in..!!

Had a ball, and was a shame I had to skip out early to get to a previously arranged dinner :( If you Gents read this.. was awesome to meet you and hopefully get to do so again in the future.

and again make sure to check out StanceWorks to get not only this shoot but the ridiculous amount of shoots they did on the cars, of the south east Queensland!!

Thanks,
Streetkarnage.

THE RABBITS

I have a huge soft spot for Golf Mk1's, such a stylish little hatch... defiantly a car I want to own at one stage of my life.

I have so many photos on my computer, so will be doing a bit of a photo dump this week. :)

Thanks,

Streetkarnage.

SAAB 92X

Saab only released these in North America in 05 and 06... and yeah, it was developed from an Impreza... if you hadn't worked it out yet (haha)

I like it, for some reason.
