KYLE'S MIDNIGHT EUPHORIA | EAT26

Images by: Ben Birch || Video by: Chris Scott || Words by: Chris Fotinos

So I've known Kyle for a while now. When I learned that he wanted to do a photo shoot of his Midnight Purple R33 GTR "EAT26" I jumped at the opportunity to go along with Photographer Ben Birch and Videographer Chris Scott from MileHigh Films.

"The car was immaculate and spotless, it was love at first sight. With the Kakimoto exhaust, the sound was complimented with a set of aftermarket camshafts, in short, at the 9200rpm rev limiter it was orgasmic" Kyle reminiscing of when he first laid eyes on the car in 2006.

Kyle didnt just buy a GTR. He started to build a quality Street driven track car to what it is today. Currently the car has a very tammed 475hp at the wheels. It sports an immaculately built RB26DETT fully built by Daniel from Elite Racing Developments. Specs include ROSS Racing Pistons, SPOOL H Beam Rods, ACL Race Bearings, ERD Performance prepped and Blue Printed Block, JUN Oil Pump, Twin Garrett 2860r-5 Turbos, Nismo Pump and 600cc injectors, Tomei Dump and Kakimoto 3.5" Exhaust, along with ALOT more. All this controlled by a WOLF V550 ECU, tuned by Sean at EFI Performance.

The exterior has been kept clean and simple. Kyle chose a Standard Series 2 Lip in primer black to run upfront, complimenting the GTRs already good looks. The car rides on Tien HA Coilovers set up by Ken at Accurate Suspension and 18 x 10.5 +15 Enkie RPF1's. Needless to say, the car is a very original and tidy example of one of the classic GTRs.

The interior, much reflect the exterior. OEM. Kyles opinion is quite obvious here. Keeping it original. Simple and proper modifications were made here. Such as the Nismo Main Cluster, allowing Kyle to get a higher readout of speed, RPM and Boost.

All in all, Kyle's GTR is easily one of the cleanest examples of the R33 GTR I've had a pleasure of experiencing. Kyle's words when I asked him, "Where to from here?"

"It is safe to say that I am content with the car at this stage, however there are plans of another engine on the cards along with a bigger turbo set up complete with E85 as well. But for now, I plan on enjoying the car for what it has, what it is and what it can do without it being at a workshop waiting for more money to be spent on it."

MORE JDMST

As you would have read on this site and any others that covered the meet.. it was huge, so off course we are going to have a shit load off images from the night... Ill keep the boring stuff down to a minimum and get on with the photos..!!
Scott's JDM32 rolling through the Clem 7 on the way up to the meet!
One of the best parts of these meets are seeing cars for the first time.. and for me this sunny Ute was one of them!
I have seen many photos of this onevia... but again this was the first time I had seen it in the flesh/metal. (haha)
URRGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The LAMER S15 has to be one of my favourites.. it looks great meet after meet!

It was great that Byron's (Byza) could make it out to this meet, in his GTI Golf.
Swift running some nice fitment with its BBS knock-offs.... even know they are fakes it still looks great!.

Last but not least is a rolling shot of Lauren's S13 Sileighty from the drive up.. she didn't make it to the meet but come to the pre-meet for us gold coast peeps!

I still have some more photos to post.. so they will be up tomorrow!
