FLASHBACK FRIDAY | ALEX HUSTON'S MK5

Way overdue but thought it would be a good time to post up Alex's old Mk5 from one of its stages of wheels... I did mentioned that we kind of lost track of the amount of wheels Alex had on the golf in the last feature we did of it.... Can view the last feature HERE!

This was last year some time, Alex tried to pull off a race style wheel but with crazy on point fitment... something he had never seen done before with these wheels and well XD9s on a mk5 golf in general.

Personaly I think he pulled it off amazingly, and for me it was the first time seeing fitment like this in person... shit was crazy! haha
I think at this stage there was only Chookie's BO55GS fitted like this.

At this stage nothing body wise had changed from the last feature we did on it this was before Alex had removed the tint.

BUT DAMN IT LOOKED RAD ROLLING!

So this feature is just a flash back, a time in the past where Alex had a new set of wheels on the golf, and pulling of some of the most epic fitment I have seen in person!

So lets take a closer look at those wheels....

18x9 and 18x10 Work Emotion XD-9s with 215/35 stretched hard over both front and rear! With so much stretch on the rear let Alex drop the guard right between the rear tyres and guard.

This is a rare shot of the man behind the golf... Alex!

The car has now been sold on to a new owner and living down in RADelaide!

SUBARU - ALL 2 THE DRIVER

Here's something a little unfamiliar to Australian shore's, possibly even a first for us here. A few of you may have seen video's around the internet. This 1998 Subaru Forester is a bit left of center.

 This particular example left the show room floor as a deep green, non-turbo base model, no flash features, quite simply, a people mover. This was true up until a few month's ago.

First thing's first, the non-colour coded bumpers had to go. A complete OEM S/TB STi kit took it's place. BMW Steel Grey was soon laid over every panel and body line. Then the whole body was dropped on ZeroSports coilovers.

People moving just got a little more intersting. In a space of only three month's, it now feature's a full Version 4 STi motor along with Sti running gear. A Mine's Tuned ECU keeps everything in line, custom front mount and complete exhaust.

 Now for the spicy part, this Forester is strictly full time RWD. Thanks to a PPG RWD conversion Spool.

Wearing a set of Work Meister SP1's with signature anodised blue wheel nuts sets this car off.

With hills and mountain road's in mind, a set of Spot Lights have been mounted behind the grill with HID's to do the rest of the work.

A custom one off four point roll cage had been welded in, along with a pair of Bride seats to hold the occupants in.

No pram will be going in this boot anymore.

Seeing this car driving down the motorway is one thing, but to witness this car skipping along drawing lines is so rad!

There's more tricks to come, so keep an eye on this car!

DANS V2 S15

Some shots of Dan's s15 from the Secretmeat that I thought would be worth posting by their self.. Dan was trying to get this finished to come with us down to Showcased this weekend but unfortunately wont be able to make it due to engine problems... can't say he didn't try the hardest he possibly could!

WGNC34 - STAGEA

Having previously owned a Nissan Stagea, I know all too well the balance between the functionality, luxury and the inner sports car these wagon's possess. Ranging from the black leather, suede door trims, enough boot space to move house with ease, but also having a NeoRB25, Triptonic transmission and AWD Altessa system.

This particular example has been upgraded in the more subtle of ways. Upgraded Shift Kit, running adjustable control arms most drift cars would have changed, sway bars and Tein coilovers.

There was a few little changes that set this Stagea apart from so many others, the eye lids, the non-turbo grille and front lip, also having HID's squeezed into every light psychically possible.

Under the bonnet hasn't been left untouched either, GReddy FMIC, 3" turbo back exhaust, Nistune'd ECU, Copper twin core radiator and a massive trans cooler.

Soon after purchase, the brakes were due for a change, but due to a lack of support back then, R34 GTT Calipers, Rotors and Pads were a good replacement and upgrade all round.

After several wheel changes, as pictured, the Stagea ended up squatting on Work Emotion 11Rs, measuring 18x9.5 all round, retaining its class and sports edge.

The car was only tunned once, unfortunately it was a mid summers day and prior to the upgraded FMIC, due to a massive case of heat soak, the car managed to make 226awhp @ 12psi. It was then decided the SMIC was in need of the bin and a front mount take its place, then round 2 could take place.
